OUR STORY BEGINS IN 1998.

In the heart of the diversity and simplicity of the Ruhr area, namely: in Mülheim an der Ruhr. An area with an industrial past and a green vision. Few people here avoid hard work and honest friendship. Open-minded, open-minded and authentic: this is how many people see the Ruhr region and its inhabitants. 

We see Mazine as a tribute to our roots, to colour and diversity. Through sustainable and high-quality designs with strong technical details, we stay true to our roots and thus to our attitude. Responsibility merges with functionality and sustainability with urban style. 

We do not design clothes for selected target groups. MAZINE is meant to unite.

OUR FUTURE IS SUSTAINABLE

We design all our products with the greatest connection to nature. It is not only a source of inspiration, but also a happy place, a place to work and much more. We do not see sustainability only as a trend, but consciously focus on sustainable, durable and regenerative materials instead of mass-produced cheap products. We see ourselves as part of the change in the fashion industry and work with our entire team every day to be even better. We are tired of empty promises, which is why it is especially important for us to create maximum transparency. As a brand, we have met the strict ecological and social requirements of GOTS and GRS certification, we are PETA-approved vegan and we are already working with our suppliers and producers on SA8000 certification. Our collections are therefore vegan, largely made from organically produced natural fibres and use no toxic chemicals. Why is this so important to us? 

We want to keep our impact on the environment as minimal as possible and develop clothes that bring joy to us and to nature.

WE MAKE FASHION OUT OF RUBBISH.

We believe there is great potential to tackle the planet's waste by giving new life to old clothes, plastic bottles and other waste. In doing so, we turn rubbish into clothes, not clothes into rubbish. Much of our collection already consists of recycled polyester fibres. As we know that a lot of greenwashing is going on here too and we want to work to the highest industry standards for our products, we are currently in negotiations with our suppliers and production facilities to obtain GRS certification for all of our polyester fabrics as quickly as possible. Of course, that doesn't mean that our ultimate goal is to continue to avoid waste. 

Because it all comes in circles! 

Also on the agenda for 2023 is the SA8000 certification of our production plant in China, where we produce most of our outerwear. We are especially proud to have maintained a friendly and close relationship with our producers over the years and we not only want to collect certificates, but also give the people who work at Mazine the opportunity to be part of a more sustainable future. 

Because there is only one future and it must be sustainable!
